The Police Department of the University

The Police Department of The University Connecticut is a fully functional police agency with the same law authority as any municipal police department in the state of Connecticut. In the regional campuses and stores includes main campus which in located in statewide. The U Conn Division of public security and it also includes Nonunion fire Department, building inspectors and Fire Marshal's office. The blue-light system which allows for students to press one of these emergency buttons is equipped by the upon Stores campus which will notify the police they will come to the place where the button was pushed.
